In the midst of the madness that is 2020, there have been a few moments scattered throughout the year that have made us stop and think.
For midwife Clodagh Maher, it was 9 p.m. Tuesday night when she witnessed this adorable public proposition at Pearse Station after finishing a busy 13-hour shift at the hospital.
She noticed a man standing at the end of the platform holding flowers and standing next to a large poster.
with the words ‘Do you want to marry me?’ printed on it.Intrigued by what was going on, she decided to pull out her phone, not realizing that the person she was proposing to was the conductor of the incoming train.
Luckily for us, he captured everything on camera.
“I didn’t think anything could cheer me up after a busy 13-hour shift, and a Gent goes and proposes to his girlfriend to drive the incoming train at Pearse station,” he tweeted with the video.

Since then, the train conductor and Paula Carbó Zea, who will soon be married, saw the video on Twitter and thanked Clodagh for sharing their “beautiful and perfect” moment.
Thank you very much for sharing this moment. I was so surprised and excited at the same time. Thanks to everyone who wanted to make this moment beautiful and perfect 😊😍😍
