Man dies, man seriously injured in van-truck collision in Tipperary

A man in his 40s was killed in a collision between a van and a truck in Co Tipperary this morning.

Gardaí is currently at the scene of the collision, which occurred on the N24 in Ballynoran at approximately 7.25 am

The collision involved a van and a truck. The driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, was mortally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 60s who was driving the truck was taken to Waterford University Hospital with serious injuries.

The road remains closed and forensic collision investigators are examining the scene. There are local deviations.

Gardaí is asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information in relation to the collision, to come forward.

Gardaí is calling on road users who were traveling on the N24 between Kilsheelan and Carrick-On-Suir between 7:20 and 7:30 today to contact them.
