A motorcyclist died after being hit by a car in Co Carlow.

The incident occurred in the Mullawn area of ​​Tullow around 3.10pm on Saturday.

A man in his 60s who was traveling by motorcycle was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin by air ambulance.

Gardai confirmed tonight that he sadly passed away.

The driver of the car was unharmed in the crash.


An investigation is ongoing and anyone in the area at the time of the incident is being asked to submit information.

“The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man, was taken by air ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, where he died. The driver of the car was unharmed.

“A technical examination of the scene has been carried out.
