Man arrested on suspicion of murder after body is discovered in Phibsborough

GARDAÍ HAS ARRESTED a man on suspicion of murder in connection with the discovery of a man’s body in a house in Phibsborough, Dublin 7.

The body of a man (40 years old) was discovered this afternoon in a house on Auburn Street.

Gardaí arrested a man, also in his 40s, in connection with the discovery. The man is currently being held at Mountjoy Garda Station on suspicion of murder.

Gardaí is on site and a technical examination is underway.

The man’s body remains in place and the State Pathologist has been requested.

A Garda Family Liaison Officer has been appointed who is in contact with the family of the deceased.

Gardaí investigator is calling on anyone who has information about the death of this man to contact them at Mountjoy Garda station on 01 6668600, the confidential Garda line on 1800 666 111 or at any Garda station .

Investigations are ongoing.
