Man, 70, tragically dies after car accident in Adamstown, County Kildare

A man in his 70s tragically died after a traffic collision in County Kildare on Saturday night.

Gardai rushed to the scene of the single vehicle collision around 7.25pm ​​Saturday night in Lattensbog, Adamstown.

The man who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to the Naas General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Currently, the road is closed for technical examination. There are local deviations.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal single-vehicle traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7:25 pm on Saturday 29 August 2020, in Lattensbog, Adamstown, County Kildare.

“Gardai is asking for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

“Gardai is also attractive to any road user who may have images from the camera (including the dash cam) and who are traveling in the area at this time to make these images available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newbridge Garda station on 045 440180, the confidential Garda line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
