The minibus driver that picked up Harry Maguire and his group in Mykonos has contradicted other points in the Manchester United captain’s story.

Maguire has publicly spoken for the first time about the night he was arrested by the Greek police and later convicted of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees and insults, and those charges were then “ dropped ” and a new trial was ordered that it could take years to get to court.

A greek lawyer shattered aspects of Maguire’s story as a consequence, in particular the claim that the outlet did not realize that the minibus that picked up him and his group to take them back to their villa had stopped in front of a police station.

“I urge all people to take a look at the Mykonos police station,” said Ioannis Paradissis. “It’s clearly obvious what this place is like during the day or at night.

“There are a lot of police cars parked outside at night, there is a sign that says it is a police station and there are officers going in and out of the building. The only way you can’t tell if it’s not a police station is if you’re very drunk.

“But clearly, he was not that drunk, because according to him he was able to fight a group of men he thought were kidnappers and try to escape. If he had the clarity of mind to do that, obviously, he would also have been able to see that the minibus had stopped in front of a police station. “

Xristos Atridis, a driver for the luxury concierge company Mykonos Jet Black, further contradicted that part of Maguire’s claim in a police statement ‘revealed to Online Mail‘.

Atridis claims he was late picking up the group, but saw two men who “tried to calm things down” when a fight broke out, announcing that they were undercover police officers.

An unidentified member of Maguire’s cohort pushed one of the two officers, which was when more plainclothes policemen arrived and requested that Atridis take them all to the Mykonos police station.

Atridis did, but notes that two passengers jumped out and tried to escape, adding that he “did not see them attack the police officers or be attacked by them.”
