Lotto confirms where the winning € 500,000 EuroMillions ticket was sold

One lucky bettor from Wexford is € 500,000 richer after winning the EuroMillions Plus award on Friday night.

The player, who bought his ticket at Hammel’s Centra store in the village of Kilmuckridge, took the victory with numbers 01, 03, 37, 41 and 46.

Lottery bosses urge the winner to sign the back of their ticket and get in touch to arrange the collection of their huge prize.

Meanwhile, there were no winners of Friday night’s historic € 200 million jackpot, which will now be capped for Tuesday’s drawing.

Under the EuroMillions community rules, a jackpot is capped at € 200 million and any excess will go to the next prize tier where there are winners.

If not won, the jackpot may be limited to € 200 million for up to four drawings.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We really are in unprecedented territory as the EuroMillions jackpot reaches 200 million euros for the first time in the history of the game.

“As we reach the maximum jackpot cap, all excess jackpot will now flow into the lower jackpot tiers, meaning that in addition to the truly life-changing € 200 million jackpot, these jackpots lower tier could create even more millionaires in Ireland in Tuesday night’s drawing. ”
