Popular discount retail giant Dealz will open another store in Dublin that will create 40 jobs.
The new store in Carrickmines Park will welcome the public in January and will be located in the old Mothercare building.
The store will extend to 930 square meters, making it one of the largest of the 2,500 Dealz in Europe.
Dealz will also be in good company in the park, owned by IPUT Real Estate Dublin, which has Boots, Harvey Norman, IKEA, Lifestyle Sports and Woodies.
Ben Wall, Head of Portfolio Management at Dealz Ireland, said: “We are delighted to open a new store in Carrickmines Park as we continue to expand our Irish portfolio, further engaging the Irish economy.
“We are a community retailer and at a time when more people are shopping locally, we are proud of the incredible value we bring to the essentials and more they need.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to our new stores, including Carrickmines Park, in the weeks and months to come.”
In December, Dealz opened three new stores and created 120 jobs, 40 in Dublin, all in time for Christmas.
The three new stores are located in Tallaght, Athenry in Galway and in Limerick City.
The discount retailer has 10 stores planned for 2021 and is investing 3.5 million euros in its Irish operations.

“Our goal is to deliver incredible value to our customers every day and we are proud to play our role in keeping our urban centers and shopping parks alive and making them places where people want to shop.”
