It’s half-time and, as the scoreboard suggests, it was a very entertaining first 45 minutes.
Both teams have played brilliant attacking football, while looking shaky in the back on a regular basis.
Liverpool, in particular, have been too informal in their defense at times, as evidenced by a rare error by Van Dijk on Leeds’ second goal.
At the other extreme, Koch has had a Premier League debut to forget, conceding a penalty early on and losing to Van Dijk by the second goal.
There have also been brilliant efforts by Salah and Harrison in the midst of an impressive first period.
Liverpool seem capable of picking up speed when necessary, although Leeds showed a lot of threat in that first half, and will feel like they are capable of leaving Anfield with at least one point on the basis of that first half.
