Zlatan Ibrahimovic has arrived at the Tallaght Stadium before tonight’s match between the European giants AC Milan and Shamrock Rovers.
The superstar forward is set to begin tonight’s Europa League tie, which begins at 7pm.
Zlatan missed Milan’s pre-season friendly against Brescia last weekend, but manager Stefano Pioli says the Swede is now eager to play.
Milan arrived yesterday at Dublin airport and Pioli said: “He has made a full recovery, he is very well mentally, he is involved. It will be competitive and fully available.
The seven-time European champions are not used to playing in the Europa League playoffs and distrust the Hoops.
Milan legend Paolo Maldini told Sky Italia earlier in the week.
The Italian team’s technical director told Sky Italia: “It’s a game that scares us a lot. Shamrock Rovers is a team that is doing well, first in their league, and we have some injury problems.”
The Rossoneri remain overwhelming favorites to advance against Stephen Bradley’s Hoops, but soccer is a strange game and the Rovers have yet to taste defeat this season.
