Gardai is investigating this morning after an overnight shooting in Limerick.
A local near Castleconnell reported numerous shootings around midnight Friday night and Gardai were alerted to the scene.
Several worn carcasses were found at the scene along the Old Dublin road with gardai sealing the area this morning.
Investigations are ongoing into what exactly happened, although no one was injured during the incident.
A Garda spokesperson said: “The Gardaí is investigating reports of shooting in Woodpark, Castleconnell, Limerick in the early hours of Saturday 3 October 2020.
“The alarm was raised by a neighbor shortly after midnight. Gardaí attended the site and recovered several worn casings. The site is preserved for forensic and technical examination.”
“No one was injured and investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Henry Street station 061 212 400.”
