Each of the rules that will be in effect when pubs open this month

No substantial meal of € 9 required

A hearty meal will no longer be a requirement, as the so-called “wet bars”, which do not serve food, can reopen.

105 minute limit set to be removed, under certain circumstances

The new proposed rules say that a 105-minute limit in a bar is not necessary if a physical distance of two meters is “strictly maintained” between tables.

However, the rule will apply if only one meter is possible.

No more than six people from three households are allowed at a table

According to the draft guidelines, no more than six people will be allowed at a table and they must not come from more than three different households.

This applies to both pre-reserved tables and walk-in customers.

Distance of one meter between people from different households

People sitting at the same table are asked to keep a distance of one meter whenever possible, unless they are from the same household.

Table service only

Sitting at the bar will be a thing of the past, at least for now, as it will be table service only and no bar orders will be allowed.

Customers are not allowed after 11.30 pm

The closing time will be at 11:30 p.m., and no client will be allowed to remain on the premises after this time.

Face covers to be worn by employees

All employees working in a customer-facing role will be asked to cover their faces.

Cash will be discouraged

The use of cash will be discouraged and customers will be asked to use card payments whenever possible.
