Revenue has published details of 25 cases of tax non-compliance and 12 cases in which the courts have imposed fines for tax and tariff crimes in its latest list of tax defaults.
The list is published in Iris Oifigiúil and covers the period from April to June 2020.
The total of all conciliation cases listed was 8,491,348 euros, with three cases of non-compliance for amounts greater than 1 million euros.
These include Dr. Kevin Hickey Unlimited, listed as a medical service provider based at Ascot Terrace, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick.
A penalty for underreporting of corporation tax, PAYE, PRSI and USC was imposed. Taxes, interest and penalties amounted to a total of € 1,216,196.44. Kevin Hickey, a medical consultant at the same address, is listed for income tax return for a total of € 598,761.59 with interest and penalties.
Mary Colma Moore, a carrier based at Sharon Avenue, Browneshill Road, Carlow, also appears on the income tax return, PAYE, PRSI, USC and VAT for a total of € 1,196,129, including interest and penalties.
Elaine Keogh, based in Annamoe, Roundwood, Co Wicklow, a knitwear manufacturer and retailer like Lainey Keogh, is listed under the income tax and VAT underreporting for a total of € 122,533 with interest and penalties.
The Solas-Galway Picture Palace company, now in liquidation, is listed for non-declaration of VAT for a total of € 821,353 with interest and penalties. The amount was unpaid as of June 30.
Andrea Smith, a journalist based in Fortunestown, Tallaght, is on the non-reporting income tax list for a total of € 75,586.56, including interest and penalties.
Also listed are two Wexford-based companies, now in liquidation.
Hynes Jewelers of North Main Street, Co Wexford was found to owe € 437,673.12, including interest and penalties, following an income audit case. Meanwhile, JW Fashions, which is listed as Hynes Family Jewelers at 113 North Main Street, Wexford, is also listed in an audit case for € 640,093.17, including interest and penalties.
Tuskar Property Holdings, also in liquidation, with an address at Dorset Street Upper, Dublin 1 is another income audit case listed for € 1,026,972.90, including interest and penalties.
Meanwhile, three men are listed who have each received 12-month sentences, suspended for 12 months, for tobacco smuggling.
These include Samy Ahmed, a fruit and vegetable importer based at Forest Court, Edgeware Road in London, and Vadim Poianschi and Oleg Stavila, both based in Moldova.
