Limerick hurling team confirmed for All-Ireland SHC final against Waterford

Limerick’s team for Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final has been revealed.

This Friday night, coach John Kiely confirmed his 15th starter for what will be the 18th final appearance for All-Ireland SHC Limerick.

Aaron Gillane must start after his concerns about fitness.

They are an unchanged team from which they defeated Galway in the Irish semi-final two weeks ago.

In fact, it is exactly the same panel of 26 games of the day.

Thirteen team members started the 2018 final: Barry Nash and William O’Donoghue instead of Richie English and Mike Casey.

Limerick is working with a 36-man panel this season and both Mike Casey (cruciate ligament) and David Dempsey (hamstring) are missing the final due to injury.

Limerick and Waterford met in the Munster SHC final four weeks ago. Sunday’s Limerick team has a change from that outing: Darragh O’Donovan instead of David Reidy.

The Waterford team was also named this Friday night – details here
