Level 5: what are the restrictions?

Following an announcement by Taoiseach Micheál Martin on Monday night, Ireland moved to Level 5 restrictions under the Government’s Living with Covid Plan from midnight last night.

The new restrictions are expected to last six weeks, until December 1, and the measures will be reassessed after four weeks.

At level 5, the public health risk means that people are asked to stay home, except to exercise within five kilometers of their home.
