LAURA Whitmore and Iain Stirling tied the knot in a secret wedding on November 11, The Sun can reveal.
Love Island host and comedian Iain got married in a humanistic ceremony at Dublin City Hall.
They were married in front of 25 guests, the maximum allowed under Irish level five rules at the time, with Laura’s half-brother Adam and Iain’s sister Kirsten as witnesses.
“Iain and Laura are so in love that they really wanted to get married as soon as possible.
“Even though the circumstances weren’t ideal, it was such a romantic day,” a source told The Sun.
But the couple kept their ceremony a secret after returning to the UK, with the only clue being Iain showing off a wedding ring on ITV’s Loose Women.
Iain, who has voiced Love Island since its launch in 2015, met Laura at an ITV party in 2016, but they didn’t start dating until the summer of 2017, when The Sun revealed that they were ‘madly in love’ with each other. .
Laura later revealed that she had secretly visited Iain while filming Love Island in 2017, saying, “We tried to keep it as quiet as possible at first,” she told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine.
“I remember going to Mallorca and not telling anyone, even though I know most of the crew.
“If someone had seen me, they would say, ‘What the hell is Laura doing here?’ I thought no one knew, but it turned out that everyone did. At the time I was like, ‘We got away with it.’
“We were together for four or five months before posting something on our social media.
“I think at the time we were both like, ‘Should we own it?’ And then once you post it, nobody gives a shit. People only care when they don’t know something. “
The couple moved in together in December 2018 when former MTV host Laura bought a house in North London and got engaged on vacation in South Africa earlier this year after Laura landed the job hosting Love. Island.
