Thousands of families across Ireland are ready to tune in to tonight’s Late Late Toy Show.
This year’s theme is Fantastic Mr Fox as Ryan Tubridy will bring the wonderful (and quirky) world of Roald Dahl to our television screens.
Tubs said she will dedicate the evening to her mother Catherine and all the families who were forced to stay apart this year.
The 47-year-old RTE host said: “Interestingly, this is a show for kids and grandparents as well as for parents. Because too many people have spent too much time looking out the windows and this Toy Show is about coming home, back on the couch, with chocolates and laughing. “
Ryan gave us a quick preview of tonight’s set as he guided us through the “wonderful world of Roald Dahl” on Twitter.
Walking around the brightly decorated stage, he pointed out where the Giant Peach is located and told us where the Oompa Loompas will come from.
He also showed us the BFG house and the jars of endless dreams.
