The Late Late Toy Show 2020 comes after an extraordinary year.
We all pin our hopes on RTE’s holiday favorite to deliver a singing and dancing bonanza that can lift audiences after a year like we’ve never seen before.
The Toy Show bosses, including the inimitable host Ryan Tubridy, are clearly aware of their responsibility to cheer us on, with promises of an “epic” show tonight.
We know tonight’s Toy Show is Roald Dahl-themed, with Tubs ready to dress up as Fantastic Mr Fox on a night where families from all over Ireland, and around the world, sit in front of the television to have fun.
Tubridy has candidly admitted that the Toy Show “hardly happened this year” as we all continue to battle the effects of a devastating pandemic.

But the team has done it, and if the advances we’ve seen are anything to follow, a great toy show awaits us.
There will be singing and dancing galore, that’s for sure.
And speculation abounds that a “very special guest singer” will descend on the Tubs stage for a performance that will send us into December in good spirits.
