US presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife Jill have cast their votes for the 2020 elections.
They join more than 74 million Americans who have voted with just under a week left in the contest.
Mr. Biden voted at the Carvel State Office Building in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.
The Democratic candidate spent the day reporting on the Covid-19 pandemic.
He is scheduled to deliver a speech in Delaware, a state that is expected to win easily, with only six days left until the Nov.3 election against President Donald Trump.
Trump has been holding more campaign events in battle states amid the surge in coronavirus cases.
He voted for himself Saturday at a public library across the street from one of his golf clubs on the Florida state battlefield.
Trump changed his residence from New York a year ago.
The number of people who have voted early represents more than 53% of the total turnout in the 2016 election, according to data compiled by the University of Florida’s US Elections Project.
Delaware allows some early voting by appointment.
Biden has a comfortable lead in national polls, but polls are tighter in battlefield states that could decide the election.
