Stormy weather conditions will hit Ireland on Tuesday night with Met Eireann issuing three separate warnings.
One of the alerts is a Marine Status Orange Warning for Hurricane Winds that was issued at 5 a.m. this morning.
Today there is also a marine alert for small boats due to the strong winds that are expected.
While nine counties are under yellow wind warning status from 9 p.m. tonight to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Counties included are Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford.

The alert reads: “South winds will reach average speeds of 50 to 65 km / h with gusts of up to 100 km / h. There will be a risk of coastal flooding.”
But the entire country is expected to be affected by windy weather later today as storm-like conditions move in from the Atlantic.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “Partly cloudy this morning with scattered showers and some periods of sunshine. Some rains will be heavy in the west with a risk of hail, and can sometimes turn into longer periods of rain.”
“The cloud will rise from the southwest in the afternoon and the rain will come later in the evening as moderate to cool southerly winds, retreating to the southeast and strengthening. Higher temperatures 5-10 degrees, cooler in Ulster .
“It will be wet and windy tonight. Clouds will rise overnight with a band of rain crossing the area early in the evening, bringing the risk of surface flooding.
“Southeasterly winds will increase from strong to near hurricane and gusty. Hurricane to strong hurricane winds will develop off the south and east coasts, creating a risk of coastal flooding. Later in the evening, the rain will clear up and fade. it will become scattered, heavier and more frequent stormy showers in the west. Lower temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees will occur early in the evening. “
