Temperatures are expected to hit 23 ° C Tuesday on a beautiful day for some parts of the country before the dullest conditions take over Ireland.
Met Eireann predicts that Mondays and Tuesdays will be pleasant days, but more humid and colder weather will arrive from Wednesday.
Today, Sunday, will also be a decent day with mild temperatures, although there will be a lot of showers outside.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “Mostly cloudy with scattered showers to start this morning. Showers will become more isolated in the middle of the day with good periods of developing sunshine. Higher temperatures 15 to 19 degrees, with light breezes at Moderate Northwest.
“Monday will be wet and windy, with bouts of rain and drizzle clearing the east during the morning. Drier conditions will develop during the day, however, periods of rain or drizzle will persist along the western coasts. Higher temperatures will range between 17 and 21 degrees, with moderate to cool, gusty winds from southwest to west.
“Mostly cloudy and hazy on Tuesday, and outbreaks of rain that affected parts of Connacht, western Ulster, and western Munster became more intense later in the day. Drier conditions persisted for much of the day in other places, with only patchy falls of light rain and drizzle.
“Some limited brighter intervals can occur in the southeast. Maximum temperatures will range from 17 to 23 degrees with moderate breezes from the southwest.”
Temperatures will drop back to 18 ° C on Wednesday and lower on Thursday when an Atlantic regime takes over the country.
The forecaster added: “Changeable, mild and humid on Tuesday, but it gets cooler later in the week.”
