Ireland Weather: Met Eireann forecast dire weather just hours away with major warnings

A Jet-Stream from the Atlantic will bring terrible weather to much of the country this weekend when Friday night rolls around.

Met Eireann is forecasting some horrible days, especially for the southern and western counties of Ireland.

The weather front will bring hurricane-force winds and torrential rains to many parts throughout the weekend.

And that’s before the wreckage of the Hurricane Epsilon barge next week.

A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “The last overnight rains will disappear in the Irish Sea on Friday morning, still with heavy gusts for a time in the east and southeast.

“It is becoming predominantly dry in many areas with sunny periods and well-scattered showers, although there may be some strong ones in the northwest.

“The highest temperatures will range between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius, with mostly moderate breezes from the west to the southwest. Later in the evening, the rain will move to the west and the south winds will begin to strengthen.

“It will become very humid and windy tonight, especially in the southern and western counties. Localized flooding with high winds generated by high winds may occur to hurricanes from south to southwest. Lower temperatures 6 to 9 Celsius degrees.

“Overnight wind and rain will clear to the east on Saturday morning. As the fall sun will break through, scattered stormy showers will also develop.

“Later in the evening, the showers will intensify in the counties on the Atlantic coast, merging with longer periods of rain here, with some thunder falls that bring the risk of hail. Temperatures similar to those of recent days; temperatures Highest 10 to 13 degrees Celsius. South to Southwest winds will be mostly cool to strong, staying windier on the western coasts. “

There are currently three separate yellow weather advisories for eight counties in Ireland.

A yellow status rain warning has been issued for Galway and May, valid from 9:00 p.m. M. From Friday until 9:00 a.m. M. From Saturday.

A yellow wind status warning has been issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry valid from 10pm on Friday to 7am on Saturday.

A yellow wind condition warning has also been issued for Cork, Waterford and Wexford valid from midnight to 11am. M. From Saturday.
