Met Eireann has issued a yellow rain status warning for Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
The warning was issued Tuesday afternoon and is in effect from midnight on Thursday to 6 a.m. on Friday, October 30.
As for the expected conditions, heavy and persistent rains are expected to arrive on Wednesday, which will last until Friday morning.
And heavy rains are likely to cause some flooding and disturbances across the country.
Met Eireann meteorologists added that 30mm to 60mm of rain is expected in the counties, with higher amounts in the mountainous regions.
As for the forecast for those days, Thursday will see clouds and rain developing rapidly as it moves west and southwest, before spreading across the country overnight.
The rains will be heavy in the west and south, which will maintain the risk of flooding, but will be lighter and more dispersed in the northeast and east.
If you live in the west and south, have an umbrella handy because rain is expected to be heavier in those areas.
As for Friday morning, a wet and windy start to the day is expected in southern areas, but most areas should see dry conditions during the afternoon, with winds subsiding.
However, more rain is expected to reach the southern counties on Friday night.
