Take a look at Ireland’s most unique ‘music festival’, hidden away in a Cork parish.
The top-secret location, which we can only reveal is in North County, doesn’t look any different than anything you’d see at Electric Picnic in a normal summer, but it has a much more intimate feel as only some of the owners are friends with it. allowed in to see it.
The spectacular forest site was built by a man named Philip who started the project with his friend Thomas, inspired by the Irish festival scene in 2017.

Speaking to CorkBeo, he said it is the last he will have this summer, but he hopes to buckle up and add a few more things before a big birthday next year.
He said: “It was a lot of fun on Saturday. That was our fifth party since the lockdown and everyone enjoyed it. I’m lucky the garden is huge and people can socialize well.

“It all started in 2017 with my friend Thomas, we had been to many music festivals that year like Body and Soul, Indiependence, Electric Picnic. I started taking photos for ideas as there is a forest area that we have close to my house.
“It was the perfect opportunity to set up a festival garden for friends. That’s what we did.
“We did a section every year, then when April came this year, I decided to work a lot on it, since I had a long time without work on the blockade.
“Everything is recycled from my workplace. Everything was made from pallets or trees that were knocked down anyway and we made it a feature.”
