Jurgen Klopp responded to Gary Neville for his recent comments on the match schedule and stated that he is thinking of “all the players” and not just Liverpool.

Neville said in Sky Sports Monday Night Football that Klopp has been looking for a “Advantage” with his moans over the match list.

The former Manchester United defender’s comments had followed a heated exchange between BT Sport interviewer Des Kelly and Klopp, in which Kelly disputed the Liverpool manager’s claims about Premier League broadcasters and injuries.

BIG WEEKEND: North London Derby, Moyes v Man Utd, Leeds, Jota

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Klopp said: “Gary Neville said something, but it’s not about LFC. Maybe that’s how he would do it, but he shouldn’t think I’m like him. I speak of all the players and not only of those of Liverpool ”.

In his press conference, Klopp also criticized Premier League executives for “ignoring the well-being of the players” by failing to discuss the five potential substitute rule at the last shareholders meeting.

Klopp added: “No one thought [five substitutes] would pass. I told you about the facts at the managers meeting, if they had allowed us to vote, it would have passed with 15-16 votes.

“But that it hasn’t happened since then is a sign that shareholders see it differently from their managers.

“That is not a good sign, to be honest, because it shows that they ignore the well-being of the players. Coaches don’t do that, but these people do. But we have to accept that for now. “
