Horrible Dublin thugs steal pension money from 84 year old man using cruel trick in cruel robbery

Horrible thugs broke into the home of an 84-year-old Dubliner and stole his pension money during a cruel robbery.

The elderly Cedarwood Road resident was misled by the scammers while the retiree tried to help one of them after his false plea.

One of the evil thieves knocked on the door of the Finglas man with a 50 euro bill that the bully claimed he owed to his other neighbor.

In an attempt to steer the resident away from the door, he asked the pensioner for an envelope so that he could write a note on it, put the money inside, and send it to the neighbor.

As the old man was searching for the envelope, a second masked robber is said to have ran upstairs and stole the cash.

When the victim returned, the thief’s phone rang and he told the resident that he would no longer need the envelope as the neighbor was now home and that he would return the money personally.

He thanked the neighbor and left, but the cheater’s plan was only realized by the pensioner hours later, when the man noticed that his room had been searched and his pension stolen.

An alert from the local community was sent to the residents of Finglas to inform them of this vicious plot.

It read, “Please inform everyone you know of this scum of the earth scam.

“Please be careful around your neighbors and report suspicious activities to the police.”

Finglas Gardai has been informed of the incident and is investigating the matter.

Speaking of a similar scam that took place earlier this year, a Gardai spokesperson advised people to do the following before handing over money to a charity or anyone else.

“No business or genuine charity will care if you ask your own questions or call An Garda Síochána.

“If a person knocks on your door offering you professional business services, selling goods or raising funds for a charity and you are concerned that it is not in good faith, tell the caller that you never deal with cold callers on your door .

“Ask for a brochure or documentation to be able to carry out checks and verify its credibility.
