Hollywood stars pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman

The tributes have come for Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman upon his death at the age of 43.

Chadwick Boseman passed away at his home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side after battling colon cancer for the past 4 years.

His death has shocked the entertainment world as Boseman kept his illness private, even while working on high-profile movies.

In a statement, his family said: “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all and brought you many of the movies you have come to love so much.

“Of Marshall to Give 5 Bloods, August wilson Ma Rainey’s black ass and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.

“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. “

Stars on stage and screen have flooded social media with tributes to Boseman. Mark Ruffalo, who acted alongside him in several Marvel films, wrote: “It was a great honor working with you and meeting you. What a generous and sincere human being.

“You believed in the sacred nature of work and you gave it your all. Much love to your family. And much love from all of us who went here.”

“All I have to say is that the accumulated tragedies this year have only deepened with the loss of #ChadwickBoseman.

“What a man, and what an immense talent. Brother, you were one of the greats of all time and your greatness was just beginning. Lord, I love you. Rest in power, King.”

Don Cheadle, who also starred with Boseman in the Marvel movies, shared a photo of them together, with the caption: “I will miss you, birthday brother. You were always light and love to me. OMG … forever and ever.” … “

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry shared a photo of Boseman and said: “For an incredible man with immeasurable talent, who leaned into life regardless of his personal battles.

“You never really know what the people around you might be going through; treat them kindly and cherish every minute you have together. RIP #ChadwickBoseman.”

Kate Hudson also paid tribute, saying that Boseman’s death was “devastating.” She wrote on Instagram: “I have no words, only love and tears at this moment. Sending all this love to his family and to all the film families who had the pleasure of working alongside this beautiful man. Rest my friend.”

Award-winning actor Sterling K Brown had a supporting role in Black Panther and shared a tribute to Boseman on Twitter. He said, “I have no words. Rest in peace, Bruh. Thank you for everything you did while you were here. Thank you for being a friend. You are loved. We will miss you.”

The Film Academy described Boseman’s death as an “immeasurable loss.” He added: “From Black Panther to Da 5 Bloods, Chadwick Boseman brought strength and light to the screen, every time.”
