Roy Hodgson was left boiling after his Crystal Palace side came to the end of a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Liverpool at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace was good in the game for the first 45 minutes. The hosts created some good opportunities and were unlucky enough to be left behind.
They were punished by Liverpool for not taking advantage of their opportunities. The Premier League champions led 3-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Speaking after the game, quoted by London News Online, Hodgson said there was “nothing positive [he] I can say ”about the defeat of Liverpool:
“We are humiliated by the result, there is no doubt about that. We take it very badly.
“For most of us in the locker room we’ve never been to the end of a 7-0 loss before, so it’s a new experience and frankly I’m sitting here in front of you and I can’t say anything positive. .
“We just have to get over it because that’s what everyone has to do. It makes no sense to insist on it more than necessary. We have to learn our lessons and I’m sure we will. “
