A mother of three was charged with the murder of her husband at her family’s home in Gorey, Co Wexford in January.
Sarah Doyle (30) from The Heath, Ramsgate Village in Gorey appeared before a special session of the Wexford District Court on Thursday night.
Doyle was charged with the murder of her husband, Philip (33) on The Heath on January 26.
During a brief hearing, Sergeant Det Noel Noel McSweeney gave evidence of charges and warned the defendant after her arrest Thursday afternoon.
Ms. Doyle had originally faced a charge under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act during a court appearance after her arrest, shortly after Gardaí was alerted to an incident at her home.
Doyle, a mechanical engineer who originally came from Bray, Co Wicklow, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No bail was requested on behalf of the accused.
Judge Brian O’Shea ordered Doyle in custody to appear before another court session on May 19 via a video link.
