Google’s unreleased Pixel 4a gets a full camera overhaul that looks … encouraging

[ad_1]

If you’ve been keeping a close eye on the Pixel 4a rumor, you may recall that Google’s next big mid-range smartphone was abused on video almost two months ago. That’s right, a Cuban vlogger somehow managed to get his hands on a fully functional prototype of the highly anticipated Android stock. 5.8-inch device before anyone else in the world, revealing all the key specs that were corroborated by multiple Other solid sources like rock.

Unbelievably, the Google Pixel 4a is still unofficial, although we hope that a formal announcement will be made any day and shipments will start at the end of the month. Until then, if you need a good reason not to spend $ 400 (or even less) for the mighty madmen of Apple iPhone SE (2020), you might want to check out the full Pixel 4a camera review by the same Spanish-speaking YouTuber who completely blew up the phone cover in March.

Encouraging is the word of the day

While the new video is also not in English, you obviously don’t have to speak or understand a certain language to appreciate the quality of a bunch of objectively great photos taken by an affordable device that doesn’t even run commercial software.
For the most part, we will allow you to draw your own conclusions from these images, as well as our in-depth review of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL last year, considering the Pixel 4a’s image performance could be far superior to what you’re seeing here thanks to last-minute pre-launch software optimizations and enhancements.
But even when all the variables are taken into account, as well as the inherent subjective nature of any camera evaluation, it’s hard not to look at these pictures and get excited. The only 12MP rear camera seems to be doing an amazing job processing portraits without losing focus or applying overly aggressive blur effects with dynamic range and noise reduction shining on almost any stage, and unsurprisingly, tremendous Night vision results.

Although the brightness of the image is not exactly impressive, and the same goes for photos captured at 8x zoom, it definitely seems that Google has another winner on its hands in terms of value for money (camera). Even the 8MP front shooter seems largely competent to produce decent selfies, especially when you think about the widely rumored price tag for the impending Pixel 4a.

Can the Pixel 4a challenge the new iPhone SE blazingly fast?

If everything we’ve heard in the past few months comes to fruition, which is more than likely, the 5.8-inch will cost $ 399 in a 64GB storage variant, with a respectable Snapdragon 730 processor, 6 gigabytes of memory, and a capacity of just over 3,000 mAh battery.

Unfortunately for Google, “respectable” raw speed may not be enough to make the Pixel 4a stand out in the same price range as the Apple A13 Bionic iPhone SE, though modern design and headphone jack can help tip the balance in favor of the search giant … for some people.

When it comes to camera performance, it’s obviously too early to tell which of the two affordable phones will prevail in real-life comparisons, but something tells us that you’ll be more than satisfied from that point of view any way you is tilting.
