Gardaí renews information appeal after homeless murder in Dublin

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN has renewed its request for information following the death of a homeless man in Kilmainham earlier this week.

A 16-year-old was placed in pretrial detention and will face a psychiatric evaluation after being charged with the murder of the man, whose body was discovered Monday.

Gardaí was alerted after the discovery of a body around 1.30am, in a lane of Madison Road, on South Circular Road, in Kilmainham, Dublin 8.

The man, who had suffered serious injuries, is believed to be in his 40s.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified because he is a minor, was arrested and held at the Kevin Street Garda station on Monday. He was later charged.

He appeared in court on Tuesday.
