GARDAÍ IS REQUESTING witnesses to the crash that occurred last night in Cork in which five teenagers were injured.
The single vehicle collision took place at Monearmore in Youghal at approximately 9.20pm yesterday.
A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries during the incident and was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Two men and two women in their teens were also brought to CUH for treatment for their injuries.
The highway was closed for a short time last night to allow forensic collision investigators to examine it. Since then, the road has been reopened.
Gardaí is appealing to anyone who was in the area between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. yesterday who may have witnessed this incident or anyone with camera footage to get in touch.
