A cyclist in his 60s died last night after being involved in a car accident in East Cork.
Gardai is asking for witnesses to the fatal collision that occurred on Lower Corkhill Road, Youghal around 7pm last night.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and was later taken to Cork University Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed.
Garda Collision Forensic Investigations were in place last night with local deviations in place; however, the road has now been reopened.
Gardaí is appealing to anyone with any information, particularly road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam), to contact Youghal Garda station on 024 92200, Garda’s confidential line. at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
