Gardai Appeal for Witnesses After Cyclist Killed in Car Accident in Youghal

A cyclist in his 60s died last night after being involved in a car accident in East Cork.

Gardai is asking for witnesses to the fatal collision that occurred on Lower Corkhill Road, Youghal around 7pm last night.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and was later taken to Cork University Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed.

Garda Collision Forensic Investigations were in place last night with local deviations in place; however, the road has now been reopened.
