A GARDA negotiator was called to a scene after a man barricaded himself in a car with three children today.
A call was made to Gardai around 2 p.m. about the incident and they responded immediately.

The incident occurred at The Greenway in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford.
Gardai said they “cared about the well-being” of the children.
A specialized negotiator was brought in, and Gardaí later said the incident was resolved shortly thereafter.
Medical staff are evaluating the man, who is in his 30s, and the children.
The gardai requested a media blackout for several hours while they dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson said: “Shortly before 2 pm today, Saturday January 9, 2021, Gardaí received a report that a man in his 30s had barricaded himself in a vehicle along with three children at The Greenway in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford Gardaí cared for his well-being.
