Gardaí has asked the public for information after a man in his 20s died after an alleged fatal assault in the early hours of this morning.
At approximately 12:45 am this morning, Gardai of Robertsown responded to a call for a law enforcement incident at Allenwood South in Co Kildare.
A silver Audi car was reported to have been involved in a collision with a red Renault Traffic van, however, when officers arrived at the scene, no complaint was made to Gardaí.
Two vehicles were detained pending forensic examinations.
Later this morning at 3.49am, the Gardaí received a new call for another assault or law enforcement incident at Allenwood South in Co Kildare.
Upon arriving at the scene, Gardai discovered an unconscious man lying on the public road who was being administered CPR.
The man was rushed by ambulance to Naas General Hospital and pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gardaí has requested the following:
Information on the movement of the Audi A4 Silver, registration number 09CN6292 on the night of Saturday, January 2, 2021 until 12:45 am on Sunday, January 3, 2021
Information regarding the incident between the Audi A4 Silver and the Red Renault Traffic van in the Allenwood area.
Information regarding any incident that occurred in the Allenwood South area between 12 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., including the fatal assault on the man in Allenwood South
