Four teenagers have been charged after leading Gardai on a dangerous morning chase in which they headed for Dublin to flee from the police.
The four boys were arrested around 2:40 am yesterday morning after a car theft in Celbridge.
Officers said they responded to a jamming call after they saw a car “driving erratically.”
The car did not stop for Gardaí when directed and took off in the direction of Dublin.

Gardai then launched a contained manhunt for the children involving units from Meath and Dublin, as well as the Regional Support Unit and the Air Support Unit.
A ‘stinger’ device was used to stop the stolen vehicle on the M3 motorway near Batterstown on the R154.
The four teenagers were arrested and taken to Naas Garda Station, where they were later charged.
Two of the teens must appear in Juvenile Court and two must appear in Blanchardstown District Court.
