Enable was one of 22 riders who held their ground after the lost first stage for Qatar’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (4.00) on Sunday.
The six-year-old is again looking for a historic third win at Longchamp after he was narrowly denied by Waldgeist last season.
She is joined on the makeshift field by talented stablemates Stradivarius and Logician, as well as Love, trained by Aidan O’Brien.
Heavy rains leave Longchamp ‘very soft’ with more ahead of Arc
O’Brien could also be represented by Japan, Mogul, Sovereign, and Serpentine, which needs to be supplemented. Magical and Ghaiyyath, first and second in the Irish Champion Stakes, were not among those left.
The French challenge is led by Raabihah, second at the Prix Vermeille for Jean-Claude Rouget, and Sottsass, who was third at last year’s Arc.
