Bruno Fernandes was irritable when asked about claims that he had a fight with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at halftime at the 6-1 crush Tottenham.

The midfielder admitted that he was “not satisfied” with Solskjaer’s decision to take him out at half-time, but insisted that “he did not say anything that could harm the group.”

Since then there have been several reports of Fernandes’ discontent since, with some hints that the Portuguese is giving a kind of coup to remove Solskjaer from the club.

But speaking after Portugal’s 3-0 win over Sweden, Fernandes dismissed the reports and was clearly a bit irritable doing so …

“There has been a lot of speculation about that,” Fernandes told reporters, via The ball.

“First it was a discussion with teammates, since it did not hold, it was a discussion with only one teammate [Victor Lindelof in the Europa League semi-final], as he did not stay now, is the discussion with Solskjaer.

“I think it is a way to destabilize the group. What was said is not true at all.

“They replaced me at halftime, it’s true, by technical option. The coach told me that the game was about to end and that we had many games ahead of us. It is understood.

“I wasn’t satisfied, but I didn’t say anything that could harm the group.”

Then Fernandes appeared to annoy the journalist before insisting that the club’s players are simply focusing on bouncing back in their next game at Newcastle on Saturday night.

“Don’t use my name, my teammates or the manager to cause trouble at Manchester United,” he said.

“The atmosphere is good and the team is ready to give an answer in the next game.”
