Fernandes ‘exasperated’ with Greenwood in response to Man United problem

Mason Greenwood enraged Bruno Fernandes after an incident during a poor Manchester United training session last week.

It was reported on Monday that United were increasingly frustrated with Greenwood, that they “did not understand” the “process” that the club had put in place.

Concerns were raised about the 19-year-old’s poor training and sleep habits, which were reinforced Tuesday.

“It is said that United feel that Greenwood needs to focus on his development as a footballer,” he adds.

Solskjaer dismissed some speculation regarding Greenwood in October, stating: “He’s never late for training. I’ve seen some former United players talk about him and they don’t know what they’re talking about.

“He has a good family behind him and he is a good coach. I can’t believe all these stories about him not being a professional.

“That’s something we have to deal with with a lot of players, a lot of other United players have had it.

“I’m not at all concerned about Mason becoming a target.”
