The heartbroken family of the murdered mother with her children has pleaded: Help us bring them home.
Gardai is treating the deaths of Seema Banu, 37, her daughter Asfira Riza, 11, and Faizan Syed, six, as a triple murder.
They were found strangled at their home in Ballinteer, South Dublin, on Wednesday.
Seema’s cousin Sufi Massod said: “We would be grateful for our life if it could send our loved ones back to our family.”
Officers continue to interview witnesses and record CCTV footage, but no arrests have been made.
A man has reported to a Garda police station accompanied by a lawyer and is assisting with consultations.
Seema moved here with the children and her husband Sameer Syed, 36, in February from her native India. They had lived in Dubai for a while until Sameer got a job here. Seema’s cousin told RTE News that she and her children missed them terribly.
Sufi Massod added: “I used to talk to everyone and make sure their life went well.
“Even though he was in Ireland, he used to talk to us all the time.
“The children are very charming and they used to spend most of their time with their grandmother.
“When they were here they used to go places and play with the children. We miss you so much “.
The crime scene at Llewelyn Court remains sealed. Seema and her family were originally from remote Mysore, in southern India. Their loved ones are asking the Irish government to help them bring their bodies home; it could cost 18,000 euros. Sufi said, “We would be grateful for our life if you could send our loved ones back to our family so that we can see them one last time.”
Neighbors have been in shock since Wednesday when details of the tragic deaths emerged.
The alarm was raised when the family had not been seen for several days.
Armed officers broke into the home around lunchtime to discover Seema upstairs in a bedroom with a ligature around her neck.
His children were found dead in another room.
Sources said all three showed signs of strangulation. The taps in a bathroom had been left open, flooding the house and damaging the floor.
Seema’s husband and the children’s father were not at home when Gardai made the discovery.
On Wednesday night, Gardai had contacted Syed, who is in Ireland on a work visa.
The Indian embassy in Ireland has contacted Seema’s mother and brother. There has been a great show of sympathy for the children and their mother.
