Exact location of 330 new Covid-19 cases in Ireland as five areas see a jump

Five areas again saw a notable increase in coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, new figures show.

A total of 330 more people across the country have tested positive for Covid-19 according to the latest statistics from the Department of Health.

Dublin is once again the most affected region with 99 new cases, followed by Cork with 28.

Louth, at 26, Meath, at 25, and Donegal, at 21, also posted notable increases today.

The remaining 131 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

However, some areas have seen positive trends develop, with a total of eight counties reporting fewer than five new cases today.

While one region, Leitrim, has reported zero new infections in the last 24 hours.

Galway, one of the largest counties, has also shown very encouraging signs, with only six more cases currently.
