One lucky Irish bettor is starting the weekend in style after winning € 176,702 in Friday’s EuroMillions draw.
The player came terribly close to winning the incredible € 17 million jackpot, but missed by a number.
However, they matched five numbers and the bonus for the second highest prize of the night.
Lottery bosses have yet to reveal where the lucky winner bought the ticket.
The numbers drawn were: 06, 22, 29, 40, 43 and Lucky Stars: 04, 07.
There was no winner of the € 500,000 EuroMillions Plus jackpot, but In total, more than 57,000 players in Ireland won prizes.
The numbers for the Plus draw were: 28, 31, 33, 42 and 43.
