Emergency services rush to Glanmire when ‘substantial’ house fire breaks out

Gardai is investigating after a major house fire broke out in a suburb of Cork City tonight.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Glanmire after the fire broke out just before 4 p.m. today.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported while the cause is being investigated.

Several units from the Cork City Fire Brigade attended and a warning was sent out to people in the area to be careful.

They said, “We have several units dealing with a substantial house fire in the Glanmire area, please be careful in the area.”

Gardai confirmed that they attended with a spokesperson who said: “Gardaí attended a fire that occurred on a residential property shortly before 4 pm in Glanmire.

“No injuries were reported, investigations in progress.”
