A man in his 70s died after a fatal car accident in Kildare.
Gardai rushed to the Adamstown crash site around 7:25 p.m. Saturday night.
The old man, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to Naas General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The road is closed for a technical examination and Gardai is asking for any witnesses to come forward, or anyone who may have footage from the dash cam.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal single vehicle traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7:25 pm on Saturday August 29, 2020, in Lattensbog, Adamstown, County Kildare.
“The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 70s, was taken to Naas General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
“Currently the road is closed for technical examination. There are local deviations.
“Gardai is asking for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
“Gardai is also attractive to any road user who may have images from the camera (including the dash cam) and who are traveling in the area at this time to make these images available to Gardaí.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newbridge Garda station on 045 440180, the confidential Garda line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
