Former Kilkenny star and recent Laois manager Eddie Brennan took on a coaching role with the Cuala pitchers for the 2021 season, while John Twomey will lead the team.
Brennan was in charge of Laois for his recent All-Ireland campaign, however the eight-time All-Ireland winner resigned after two years in office.
Laois was defeated by Dublin in the Leinster Championship this year, having recorded a surprising win over the Metropolitans last season, before pushing Clare all the way in the playoffs, losing by just one point.
Cuala’s senior pitchers are delighted to announce the appointment of John Twomey as team principal and Eddie Brennan as team coach. John Twomey has had a long career with Dublin pitchers. Eddie Brennan is recognized as one of the greatest strikers of all time in the sport.

Brennan apologized to the Laois County Board earlier this month after a private conversation, criticizing some officers, was accidentally posted by the GAA Hour podcast.
Twomey pitched for Dublin, lost two Leinster Championship finals and also won a Dublin title in hurling and soccer with his club, Erins Isle.
Cuala is one of the best hurling teams in Leinster and won this year’s Dublin championship before the all-Ireland club championship was ruled out due to Covid concerns.
The Dalkey-based team won consecutive All-Ireland titles in 2017 and 2018.
