Met Eireann has issued two weather warnings as Storm Bella moves toward Ireland.
Yellow warnings are in effect across the country, as powerful gusts of 110 km / h will hit the country.
The national forecaster also warned of heavy downpours and flooding on St. Stephen’s Day.
Yellow wind and rain alerts will be in place from 3 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: “On Saturday (St. Stephen’s Day), during the afternoon, evening and night, the westerly winds associated with Storm Bella (named after the UK Met Office) will reach average speeds of 50 to 65 km / hr with gusts of 90 to 110 km / h, gusts will be higher at times near the west coast.
“With the combination of strong winds, high waves and forecast storm surge, there is a risk of coastal flooding along the west coast.
