A postal worker was rushed to hospital after a mindless thug robbed a mail van and dumped the mail into a river in south Dublin.
The incident occurred this afternoon in Cloonmore Lawns, Tallaght at 12:50 pm as the postman, in his 40s, was delivering a package to the area.
A shameless thug jumped into the unattended delivery van and tried to drive away.

The thief then proceeded to dump the mail and packages in a local river.
The An Post worker was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The mail van was recovered within walking distance.
A Garda spokesman said: “No arrests have been made to date.”
A video on social media shows an An Post van with the door open and mail strewn across the ground and across a field.

Several irate residents have attacked the embarrassing hooligans online with one person saying, “Can these jerks sink deeper? Unreal.”
