Eight people were rushed to hospital in a nightly terror collision involving a Dublin bus and a car on the south side.
Shocking footage shows the bus collided with a building following the accident that took place at the junction of Northumberland Road and Haddington Road in Ballsbridge around 10:45 pm.
Eight people were taken to the San Vicente University Hospital, including the two male occupants of the car who are in serious condition.
Gardai, the Dublin Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service personnel were at the scene of the horrific accident.
Gardai is asking the witnesses and anyone who may have camera footage (including the dash cam) of the area at the time to contact them.
The scene of the collision is preserved for technical examination. The crossing is currently closed to traffic and detours are expected to remain in place for most of the day.
A Garda spokesman said the GSOC has been notified as one of the vehicles involved had “come to the attention of the Gardai prior to the incident.”
A Garda spokesperson said: “Anyone with information should contact the Irishtown Garda station on 01 6669600, the confidential Garda line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
“Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.”
