A goalless draw against local rivals Derry City was enough to knock Finn Harps off the bottom of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table, beating Cork City.

First, McNamee played Karl O’Sullivan from a choreographed move, but his delivery was spearheaded by Alexander Kogler.

At the other end, Oluwaseun Akintunde nearly broke the deadlock for the visitors, but fired wide from just six yards after reaching the end of a Walter Figueira cross. The same player went off the mark early in the second half, with a shot that went wide.
