The Finance Minister will travel to France, Luxembourg and Belgium over the next three days for a series of official visits in his role as chair of the Eurogroup.
Paschal Donohoe will also be present at the Euro Summit, the first time he has done so since he assumed the presidency of the Eurogroup.
During his visit to France, Mr. Donohoe will meet with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire in Paris.
During his visit to Luxembourg, he will meet with his colleague from the Eurogroup, Minister Pierre Gramegna.
A meeting with the head of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), Klaus Regling, is also on the itinerary.
During his stay in Belgium, Donohoe will meet with the new Belgian Finance Minister, Vincent Van Peteghem.
Mr Donohoe will also hold talks with the Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, the Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni and the Commissioner for Ireland, Mairead McGuinness.
Topics that Mr Donohoe is expected to cover in his speech at the Euro Summit include the reform of the ESM and plans for the future progress of the banking union.
The government said Donohoe will take “all necessary health precautions” and will follow public health guidelines during the trip and on his return to Ireland.
